Allerton Park & Retreat Center – Just 30 minutes away in Monticello, this stunning 1,500-acre estate offers gardens, hiking trails, and beautiful architecture.

Champaign-Urbana – Only 20 minutes east, enjoy local restaurants, shopping, museums (like the Krannert Art Museum), or catch a show at the Virginia Theatre.

Kickapoo State Recreation Area – About 45 minutes away, it’s perfect for kayaking, hiking, fishing, and exploring nature trails. Enjoy the onsite restaurant and make fun the easy by renting kayaks, tubes, and a floating Swan at the park!

Clinton Lake – Great for a relaxing afternoon of boating, swimming, or lakeside picnicking, just under an hour’s drive.

Aikman Wildlife Adventure – Located in Arcola (about 1 hour), this drive-thru wildlife park lets you see zebras, camels, and more up close.

Harvest Moon Twin Drive-In – Catch a movie under the stars in Gibson City, roughly 40 minutes away. A family favorite!

Springfield, IL – Roughly an hour’s drive west, visit the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library, the State Capitol, and Route 66 attractions.
